A birthday from afar
Giulia — Milan, Italy
My son is studying in Eindhoven and it was his birthday. A few weeks earlier, I had sent his present to PIT, but I wanted to add something personal.
I asked PIT to buy a beautiful bouquet of flowers locally and deliver both the present and the flowers to my son's home.
For me, it was important that it didn't feel like I had simply sent a package. PIT made sure my son received something from his mother on his birthday.
What made the difference: combining something I had sent in advance with something sourced locally, and making sure everything arrived together.
A film production looking for a location
James — London, United Kingdom
Our production company had identified a potential filming location in Nuenen. Before arranging a location visit, we needed to know whether there would be sufficient power available on site.
PIT visited the location, took detailed photographs of the site and possible connection points, and spoke with the person responsible for the location.
They also helped us find a local contact for generator rental.
This allowed us to assess the technical possibilities from London before sending our production team to the Netherlands.
What made the difference: PIT didn't just take photographs. They gathered information locally and helped arrange the next step.
When a delivery becomes something more
Anna — Stockholm, Sweden
A prototype needed to be delivered to Eindhoven for an important business presentation. The supplier could only deliver during the day, when nobody from our team would be available.
PIT accepted the package, checked that it had arrived safely and later delivered it to our presentation.
When we discovered that a small adjustment was still needed, PIT also helped us arrange for it to be handled locally.
That last part was exactly why we had contacted PIT. Not because they could move a package, but because they were there when something needed to be taken care of.
What made the difference: the ability to deal with what happens next, rather than simply completing a delivery.
An important delivery
Claire — Paris, France
My company was organising an event in Eindhoven. An important part of our presentation was being delivered directly by a supplier, but nobody from our team would be available to receive it.
PIT accepted the delivery on our behalf, checked that everything had arrived safely and delivered it to the event location at the agreed time.
I didn't have to worry about the delivery — or about what would happen if something wasn't quite right.
What made the difference: PIT took responsibility for the delivery rather than simply transporting a package from A to B.
A special wedding gift
Elena — Barcelona, Spain
My best friend was getting married in Eindhoven. I wanted to give her a special gift, but I couldn't travel to the Netherlands myself.
I sent a vintage object to PIT in advance. On the day of the wedding, PIT arranged the final delivery to the venue and made sure the gift arrived safely.
I even received a photograph afterwards.
What made the difference: handling something personal with care and making sure it was delivered at exactly the right moment.
Preparing our new home from abroad
Thomas & Sophie — Zurich, Switzerland
We had recently bought a house in Eindhoven but were still living in Switzerland. Before we moved, several contractors needed access to the property to prepare the house.
PIT visited the property on our behalf, coordinated access with the contractors and checked that the agreed work could go ahead.
We received photographs and an update afterwards, so we knew exactly what had happened without having to travel to Eindhoven ourselves.
What made the difference: one local contact who could coordinate several practical matters while we were still abroad.
A forgotten laptop
Sarah — Cambridge, United Kingdom
My daughter was studying in Eindhoven and had accidentally left her laptop at a location outside the city. The organisation had found it and was willing to keep it for her, but they couldn't arrange delivery.
PIT collected the laptop, confirmed with the organisation that it was the correct device and delivered it to my daughter in Eindhoven.
It wasn't really a standard courier job. Someone first had to figure out what needed to be done.
What made the difference: PIT dealt with the people involved, worked out the practical solution and made it happen.
Exploring Eindhoven from New York
Michael — New York, United States
I'm considering starting a business in Eindhoven and had found several potential locations. I couldn't fly to the Netherlands just to visit every property.
PIT visited three locations on my behalf. I received photographs and information about the surroundings, parking and accessibility.
At one location, PIT also discovered that construction work was planned nearby.
That allowed me to rule out two locations and focus on the one that was worth investigating further.
What made the difference: having someone local who could see, check and report on things that simply aren't visible online.
A technician at an empty apartment
Marco — Rome, Italy
I own an apartment in Eindhoven that I rent out. The heating system needed to be inspected, but I couldn't travel from Italy simply to let a technician in.
PIT arranged access, was present during the appointment and afterwards told me what the technician had found. They also sent me photographs of the installation.
It saved me an unnecessary trip to the Netherlands.
What made the difference: someone I trusted was physically there and could report back to me afterwards.
Checking a property after a warning
David — Manchester, United Kingdom
On a Sunday evening, my neighbour contacted me to say that there might be water coming from my property in Eindhoven. I live in Manchester and couldn't get there myself.
PIT visited the property the next morning, checked the situation, took photographs and contacted a plumber.
Fortunately, the problem turned out to be less serious than expected.
What mattered most to me was knowing that someone I trusted was actually there.
What made the difference: a local presence, a quick assessment and practical action when I couldn't be there myself.
